Celebrating National School Counseling Week
National School Counseling Week takes place from Monday, Feb. 6 through Friday, Feb. 10, and is a week-long recognition to highlight the tremendous impact school counselors have in schools and for students.
School counselors are essential to the school community, as they often serve as a first line of defense in identifying and addressing academic, career, or social/ emotional needs for students.
The district's school counselors continuous attention to student needs help to support student success and student planning for post-secondary opportunities. School counselors also promote a positive environment that enhances students’ ability to properly manage the social/ emotional demands of their lives.
The theme this year is “Helping Students Dream Big” – which is exactly what our school counselors do day in and day out. Thank you for being a ray of hope for district students and schools!
